ALIENS AMONG US ALIENI TRA NOI Il Mar Mediterraneo è un ecosistema in costante cambiamento, influenzato dalle attività umane e dalla crisi climatica. Tra le trasformazioni più evidenti per i ricercatori, ma anche per pescatori e subacquei che lo frequentano con assiduità, c’è la periodica comparsa di nuovi organismi mai avvistati prima: si tratta delle specie aliene, note anche come NIS (Non Indigenous Species), ovvero specie animali e vegetali che non sono originarie di un determinato ambiente, ma vi giungono a causa di fattori legati, direttamente o indirettamente, alle attività umane. The Mediterranean Sea is a constantly changing ecosystem, affected by human activity and the climate crisis. One of the most obvious changes — noticed not only by researchers, but also by fishermen and divers who spend time at sea — is the now regular appearance of new, previously unknown organisms. These are alien species, also known as NIS (Non-Indigenous Species), i.e. animals and plants that are not native to a particular environment but have been introduced into the waters directly or indirectly as a result of human activity. Si è laureato in Architettura e Scenografia teatrale per poi specializzarsi in Illustrazione editoriale e di picture books. I suoi lavori, sia per grandi che per bambini, sono stati pubblicati su magazine nazionali e internazionali, collabora con quotidiani, riviste e case editrici. È autore di fumetti fantasy e fumetti didattici. Ha collaborato con diverse associazioni nell’ambito del Cinema, del Sociale, della divulgazione scientifica e del Teatro, campo nel quale conduce laboratori di formazione per ragazzi. He was born and lives in Monza, working as an illustrator and comic artist. With a background in Architecture and Stage Design, he later specialized in Editorial Illustration and Picture Books. His works, for both adults and children, have been published in national and international magazines. He collaborates with newspapers, magazines, and publishers and creates fantasy and educational comics. He has also worked with organizations in Cinema, Social Issues, Scientific Communication, and Theatre, leading training workshops for young people.
