Although the Gulf of Trieste is semi-enclosed and has shallow waters, it’s characterised by a high biodiversity and richness of species thanks to its nutrient-rich waters and the simultaneous presence of different habitats. Among the organisms that populate its waters, some have colours that have nothing to envy to the tropical ones. This is the case of Nudibranchs, small shell-less molluscs known for their beauty and the variety of colours, from purple to yellow, from fuchsia to blue, which they use to indicate their toxicity and deter predators.
